What Can You Do for Your Vacation?

After you get past the vacation panic stage, your question may be what can we do for our vacation? The answer is pretty much anything:

  1. Ocean Cruises on the popular cruise lines – Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian, Carnival, Princess, Holland America, Disney and many more.
  2. Ocean Cruises and expedition cruises on the luxury lines – Silversea, Seabourn, Atlas Ocean Voyages, Regent Seven Seas, Cunard, WindStar and many more.
  3. European River Cruises – Avalon Waterways, Viking River, AMAWaterways, Emerald Cruises and many more.
  4. Asian River Cruises – Avalon Waterways and many more.
  5. American River Cruises – American Cruise Lines, American Queen Voyages, Viking American River Cruises and more.
  6. Combinations of cruise voyages and land tour packages.
  7. All inclusive resorts – Sandals, Club Med and a vast array of others!
  8. Faith based tours of the Middle East and Europe – Globus, Cosmos and more.
  9. American Rail Tours – Amtrak Vacations and more.
  10. European Rail Tours – So many across the entire continent!
  11. Europe and U.S.  Land Tours – Globus, Cosmos and many more.
  12. Bus Tours for the U.S. and Europe – Globus, Cosmos and many more.
  13.  You can even do a sub-orbital flight on Virgin Galactic Two and Blue Origin’s New Shepherd for upwards of $500,000 or a flight to the ISS for around $55,000,000.

Another consideration is where you want to go. You can go to the Bahamas, Caribbean, Alaska, Arctic, Antarctic, Galapagos, everywhere in the South Pacific, Europe, Asia, USA and more!

Quite a dizzying array of choices for the vacationer!

This is where my services at Cruises Concierge can help you. I work to provide you with the best possible value for your vacation dollar. You tell me where you want to go, how you want to get there, the level of luxury you wish, your budget and your travel dates. Also, if you tell me about what you liked and or disliked on other vacations, I can work to eliminate those concerns as well.

Some other items to consider:

  1. Current Passports for all in your travel party. You can get passport card however, I recommend the full passport book for ease of use everywhere.
  2. Qualifying for the TSA’s Known Traveler Number. This is an on-line application that you complete at www.tsa.gov . You will get an appointment to go to a nearby TSA office to complete the application, get your picture taken and pay the $78 fee per application. This can eliminate the long lines at many airports. If you don’t like long lines and taking off half your clothes to get through security checkpoints, this is the way to go.
  3. For those who travel internationally quite often the Global Entry program is available at the US Customs and Border Protection web site. The fee is $100 and may take up to six (6) months to receive. Here is the web site:  https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/how-apply
  4. There is also the Clear Program for helping reduce time in security check points, https://www.clearme.com
  5. Getting from your home to the various points of travel such as airports and cruise ports and back again. Some luxury cruise lines, such as Silversea, offer a door-to-door option that will take you from your home to the airport, fly you to the cruise port, get you on the ship and then back home again after the cruise.

These are the areas in which I can assist you. In many cases you will have to complete the arrangements as the providers may not deal with a 3rd party on your behalf.

In any case, I will take you through a list of items to consider so that you can enjoy your chosen vacation as seamlessly as possible.
