Vacation!
Has this ever happened to you? Your spouse or significant other says, “Honey, let’s do something different for our vacation this year!” You reply, “Sure! Like what?” The reply is “Oh, I don’t know, just come up with something exciting and relaxing!”
You have that overwhelming feeling of PANIC! If you don’t come up with something your spouse or significant other will like, then you are in trouble. You think, “Wait a minute! I’m smart and I can use search engines!” You pull up the most used search engine and type in “vacations”. Zap! You have over 1 Billion results. So, you narrow your search to “unique vacations”. Zap! Now there are only 81 million results. Still, being the intrepid explorer, you search “vacation types”-only about 146 million results. However, at the top of the page there are 12 broad types of vacations.
You call your spouse or significant other to the computer and show the vacation types. He or she looks and says, “Oh, no camping but maybe a cruise or beach or escorted tour or some sort of adventure! You decide!” Again, PANIC!
You sit there, your head in your hands and you start looking at cruises. You see a myriad of providers, each offering what seems to be great deals and you start exploring. After an hour or so, your head is spinning and you are more confused than ever. What do you do?
You think, “Well at hotels there are concierge services that can help. I wonder if there are any vacation concierge services available? “You search “vacations, concierge, cruise”, since that was the first thing mentioned by your spouse or significant other. The results include Cruises Concierge. You click on the navigation and you are transported to my website. You look over the information and think, “This guy may be able to help.” You fill out the contact form indicating, in general, what you want, with the number and a time to call.
At the appointed time, your cell phone rings, my friendly and confident voice greets you! You tell me your conundrum. We have a friendly chat regarding possible destinations, experiences and how you like to be treated when you are on vacation. I reassure you that I will give you some choices within your budget that include the “exciting and relaxing” specification by your spouse or significant other. We agree that I will email you some ideas for your anticipated cruise and I will call to discuss and fine tune the ideas.
After a few hours, you receive my email. Your phone rings, my friendly and confident voice greets you warmly. We look over the ideas and you and your significant other decide that a
7-day cruise to the western Caribbean is just the thing, with stops in various Mexico ports and the cruise line’s private island, which fulfill the “exciting and relaxing” priority. You need airline arrangements to get to the departure port and then home again. I find that the prices I can get are not as good as what you can get and I give you the airline and the flight numbers, along with the reservation web site and the airline’s reservations phone numbers so you can get the best deal. Also, I help you find transportation to and from the airport to and from the departure port.
There it is! Your vacation is arranged, you have chosen the best fit from the suggested list. All you have to do is get to your departure airport on time for your flight.
Your spouse or significant other thinks you are a genius and you can now look forward to your exciting and relaxing cruise vacation!
